PokéSurvivor 2026-10-18: Physical and Special Split
On 18 October the game separated physical and special offense and defense. A partner’s strongest attack multiplier alone no longer describes how every move performs.
Published patch date: 2026-10-18. Reviewed: 2026-10-21. Historical notes can contain rules superseded by later patches; this is not a live server-status report.
What Changed
- Physical attacks use physical attack and face physical defense; special attacks use special attack and face special defense. Level-up cards identify the category.
- Swords Dance and Dragon Dance boost physical attack. Nasty Plot boosts special attack and is available to all Pokémon. Moves matching a partner’s stronger category receive extra offer weight.
- Controller support covers movement, move selection, pause, cards and menus, configurable in Settings > Controls.
- Large Pokémon were given normal collision behavior. Claims that their size necessarily causes a larger hitbox or traps them in corridors are outdated for this snapshot.
- A top-right Save button was introduced, alongside more collection filters and a run summary with damage statistics.
Current Context
The automatic ten-minute cloud-save behavior described in this historical entry was superseded on 20 October. The later rule requires pressing Save, apart from saving before an update.
