Move and position your partner while the selected attack fires automatically. PC manual aim is optional under Settings > Accessibility and off by default. The 20 October notes remove that option on mobile, where attacks always auto-aim. Level-up choices pause combat; opening the ordinary pause menu in co-op does not pause everyone.

Controls

A run, in order

1. Pick a starter, or take the eight-question personality result. You can refuse it.
2. Only the selected slot fires; a bonded slot fires its fused moves. Level-up offers new moves, move levels (max 5), run stat cards or ready evolutions.
3. Take the required run stat card, reach move level 5 and select the gold evolution card. There are 97 defined attack evolutions among 103 moves; six buffs do not evolve. Permanent upgrades are not the run-card condition.
4. Win a rift and each player gets a bond, which fuses moves so up to four can fire together.
5. Bosses are scheduled at 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15 minutes. Enemy count caps at 280.
6. Rifts stop at 28:00. At 30:00 the Arceus judgment starts and does not end on a timer.

Rocks, boxes and tall grass can break; walls and trees block enemy shots. Water slows and lava damages, subject to type-related terrain rules. Move out of telegraphed circles and lines before they resolve. The 18 October patch normalizes large partners’ collision, so a large sprite should not be treated as a larger hitbox. After the 19 October Starting Move purchase (400 coins per Pokémon), eligible opening attacks can be changed rather than remaining permanently fixed.

At 30:00 Judgment replaces ordinary waves. Its Arceus is invincible; accompanying legendaries gain a doubling HP/damage factor. Movement has a soft cap, Arceus accelerates further after five minutes of Judgment, and contact rises from 40% maximum HP after seven minutes toward 100% at ten. There is no promised survival duration or ordinary Arceus clear.
