A field guide to PokéSurvivor

PokéSurvivor is a Pokémon survival game in the Vampire Survivors style. According to the official controls, movement is WASD or the arrow keys; the partner attacks automatically. Switch moves with 1–4 or Q and E, and pause with Esc or P. This guide uses published game files, not a claimed hands-on playtest.

PokéSurvivor is a free, no-download HTML5 game by Jonathan Piera Torregrosa (JPTER78). The first public-version changelog is dated 7 October 2026. The itch.io listing was published on 11 October 2026 and separately says RELEASE: 11/10/2026. The only official game domain is pokesurvivor.com. This guide does not embed the game: the 19 October changelog says third-party embeds show a button back to the official site.

What you actually get

  • 966 Pokémon across 9 regions, from Kanto through Paldea, in js/data/pokedex.js at source commit 3c9641c9e782cf74afbde490f39cd60adf59e32b; build identifier d2dfaee739.
  • 103 moves, 11 held items and 13 standard permanent upgrade definitions. The itch.io listing advertises 127 achievements; it is a listing claim, not a count derived here.
  • Shiny checks are 1/4096 for eligible wild spawns, 1/512 for a selected eligible rift legendary, and 1/100 in ticket gacha. Defeating a shiny captures it. Tickets are earned, not sold.
  • Up to 4 players in a room. Rift arenas cover 18 types. A run can continue into the Arceus judgment at 30:00.
  • Interface languages include English, Spanish, French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

The newest entry in that snapshot is 20 October, “Safer co-op and move fixes.” The 19 October entry adds 38 moves and more languages; 18 October separates physical and special stats and adds controllers. Questions

Is PokéSurvivor free?

Yes. The official guide says the game is free in the browser. There is no purchase price. Gacha uses tickets earned in play, not real money.

Do I need to download PokéSurvivor?

No. pokesurvivor.com runs in the browser. The itch.io page also offers an offline zip that is single-player only and stores the save in the browser.
