Yes. The official guide says it is free. Tickets are earned in play.

Do I download it?

The recommended play is pokesurvivor.com in the browser. Itch offers an offline single-player zip.

What engine is it?

The official README specifies vanilla HTML, CSS and JavaScript on Canvas 2D, with no build or dependencies. This is not evidence that community ports use the same engine.

How many players in co-op?

Up to four.

How many Pokémon?

966 in pokedex.js.

Are there Megas?

No Mega Evolution system was identified in the official snapshot checked on 21 October 2026. Move evolutions and bonds are separate mechanics.

Which website is official?

pokesurvivor.com, according to JPTER78.

Which release date is correct?

The itch page labels its release 11 October 2026. The official changelog calls 7 October 2026 its first public version. They record different milestones.

Does it support Chinese?

Yes. The 19 October notes and locale code include Simplified and Traditional Chinese under Settings > Graphics > Language. The source has seven language choices; older static guide text listing only English and Spanish is incomplete.

What are the shiny odds?

The source distinguishes 1/4096 for eligible wild spawns, 1/512 for an eligible selected rift legendary and a separate 1/100 gacha roll. Species selection, sprite availability and duplicate handling matter.
